Owner and engineer Ed Lewis is the driving force behind Giant Wafer Studios. He started out playing bass in various  bands but was always more interested in sound as a whole than being tied to a specific instrument. A simple cassette 4  track brought in 1993 was the spark that ignited his love for recording and the desire to build a recording studio.  During the late 90’s Ed and his long term friend and collaborator Michael Joseph had a modicum of success as an  electronic act winning ‘Demo of the Month’ in Future Music Magazine, the first Welsh band to win the award. The duo  parted as the building of the studio commenced taking up every free moment.   During the long building process which Ed has mostly carried out himself he spent a few years recording bands on  location. Since the completion of the studio there has been a steady flow of clients with varying musical styles and  abilities, from beginers to Top 20 UK artists.  Now with coming up to 20 years of experience Ed will help you get whatever you want from your visit, whether as main  engineer, assistant or just popping in to re-solder that one crackly cable!
