proper ‘Star Earth’ mains power and top grade cabling and connectors used throughout.
As of February 2012 all our electricity and heat will come from renewable sources. We have a carbon neutral pellet
boiler providing heat/hot water and a solar array for producing electricity. Any extra electricity required is sourced from
Good Energy, the UK’s only 100% renewable electricity supplier. We have recycling facilities on site and can arrange to
offset any carbon emissions involved with travelling to the studio.
Giant Wafer Studios is a fully residential recording studio in the heart of Mid Wales situated in an area of outstanding
natural beauty. The 2500+ square foot complex offers spacious professionally designed rooms and comfortable
accommodation.
The studio is based around a Speck Electronics Lilo 24 channel console, Pro Tools HD, a wide selection of vintage
outboard and exceptional monitoring. Our recording chain is flawless with 24 channels of classic Neve and API
preamps complementing our collection of industry standard microphones.
For the analogue purists we have a beautiful fully refurbished 3M M23 1” 8 Track tape machine built in 1966. These
machines were used on many of the classic albums of the 60’s by artists like The Beatles, The Stones, BB King etc.
